BALE TO DEMAND EQUAL PAY WITH RONALDO

Claims by The Times says that Gareth Bale, Real Madrid’s playmaker and star player might soon be demanding a pay package that is equivalent to that of his team mate, Cristiano Ronaldo.

This comes on the heels of Madrid’s move to negotiate new contracts with two of its highly valued players.

Madrid had also recently concluded new contract negotiations on Toni Kroos, another of their important midfielder, and has now turned their focus to Bale. Bale who plays at the international level for Wales, was formerly receiving a weekly pay of £260,000 but is expected to join Ronaldo in the highest bracket at the conclusion of the negotiations.

Reports in recent times have claimed the Bale was unhappy with his position under Madrid’s boss, Zinedine Zidane and the La Liga Giants are determined to ensure that Bale remains with them. The reports allege that Bale was highly displeased by the unfulfilled promises of the club to him which should have seen him play a central role alongside Ronaldo.

There equally are speculations that the 27 year old might be nursing a move to Manchester United next summer, when the transfer window opens. Madrid, however have no plans to let the player off easily especially with a new £420m buy-out clause that would likely reduce his chances of moving out of Real Madrid.

The start of the season saw Bale with a stellar performance, having scored three times and given no less than four assists. On the league table, Zinedine Zidane’s men sit at the top, going neck to neck with their all-time rivals, Atletico Madrid. They both have played eight games so far and have each garnered eighteen points.

So far in 2016, Bale has scored about 20 goals for both club and country.
