SPAIN CHAT PLANNED

The manager of the Wales national football team, Chris Coleman, is planning to go to Spain to have a chat with the Real Madrid officials regarding the availability of Gareth Bale for the international matches in future.

Bale himself wants to feature in each and every international game of Wales, but, Real Madrid is not fine with that. The Spanish club doesn’t want to risk the fitness of the 24 years old winger.

Chris Coleman has no problem in excusing Bale for the low profile games like the friendly ones, but, he wants him to be available for selection for the vital games like the Euro Cup qualifying games.

Bale has had some fitness concerns in the recent past because of which he has missed a few games for Real Madrid. Even while featuring for Wales in the game against Finland a couple of days back, he had suffered a minor injury.

Talking to the reporters yesterday, Coleman said, “Gareth is a very important player both for us and for his club. He needs to be taken care of; that’s for sure. I talked to him yesterday and I will go to Spain to talk to the Real Madrid officials as well.”

“Obviously, they would not want Gareth to play every game for us and we can’t be upset because of that. We will have to find a mid way. We will try to convince them that we will take care of his fitness whenever he comes to play for his national side.”

“If we want Gareth to be available for the big games, we might have to excuse him for one or two friendly fixtures.”

Wales’ performance in their recent games has been pretty good. Out of their last 3 games, they have won 1 and have drawn 2.
